Of Technical Signals
❦
◆ Technical view · 24 September

Wednesday's session presented an unusual configuration: Bitcoin fell 3.3 per cent to close at $84,397.60, yet net inflows into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds on that same session reached $347mn, with net flows across crypto ETFs more broadly at $483mn. Institutional buyers, it appears, met the decline with appetite rather than retreat.

The momentum reading at Wednesday's close stood at 65.5 — clear of overbought territory, having shed the extension that characterised the three preceding sessions. The nearest support, at $74,952.75 and tested twice, lies 11.2 per cent below Wednesday's close.

The retreat was broadly shared. Ether closed the session at $2,684.71, its momentum easing to 63.2, with support at $2,357.65 some 12.2 per cent distant. Solana, at $114.99, carries an RSI of 63.6. Of the assets surveyed, none remains in overbought ground — a notable change from the preceding days. The sentiment barometer, at 50 out of 100, reflects a market returned, for the moment, to neutral ground.
