On the financial press agenda this week: macroeconomics · Bitcoin · altcoins · regulation · monetary policy.
Not to be greedy is wealth; not to be extravagant is revenue. Above all things, to be content with what we possess is the greatest and most secure of riches.

◆ Verdict · Tuesday 6 October session
Selling pressure.
Bitcoin falls 1.58% and suffers $3mn of outflows: selling pressure is building. Altcoins follow (−4.61% to −1.40%).
Tuesday's session saw Bitcoin's exchange-traded funds record net outflows of $3mn, with net flows across all crypto ETFs reaching minus $4mn — a figure that, in isolation, would ordinarily warrant attention. At Tuesday's close, however, Bitcoin held at $85,549.93, a retreat of just 0.3 per cent from Monday's $85,766.87. The outflows were negligible by the standards of this survey; the price conceded correspondingly little.
What is more striking is where Bitcoin's momentum stood at Tuesday's close: an RSI of 63.4, leaving it 2.1 per cent from a resistance at $87,307.83 — a level tested twice — and 2.9 per cent from overbought ground. The two boundaries are near neighbours, and neither has yet been reached.
Across the broader survey, the configuration is orderly. Ether closed at $2,697.49 with momentum at 59.7. Solana, at $120.71, carries an RSI of 63.9; its three-times-tested support at $81.39 remains 32.6 per cent below that close. TRX, at $0.3355, retains its characteristic compression: resistance at $0.3376 stood 0.6 per cent above Tuesday's close, a proximity that has persisted without resolution for the better part of a fortnight.
The sentiment barometer, at 51 out of 100, confirms a market at neutral ground.
