… the owners of savings not finding, in adequate quantities, their usual kind of investments, rush into anything that promises speciously, and when they find that these specious investments can be disposed of at a high profit, they rush into them more and more.

◆ Verdict · Monday 12 October session
Profit-taking.
Bitcoin gains ground (+0.53%) yet suffers $65mn of outflows: holders are cashing in. Among altcoins, caution prevails (flows −$87mn, prices +0.30% to +0.71%).
Tuesday's close found TRX at $0.3274, its momentum reading of 32.0 leaving it a mere 0.4 per cent above oversold ground — the closest approach to that threshold in this survey, and a configuration that now commands the attention of the broader reading. Its four-times-tested resistance at $0.3331 stands 1.7 per cent above that close, leaving TRX compressed between two boundaries separated by a distance of barely 2.6 per cent. Neither has yet yielded.
Bitcoin's position, by contrast, is one of comparative ease. At Tuesday's close of $83,169.00, its momentum of 52.0 sat a narrow 0.6 per cent above the mid-range threshold of 50, with resistance at $87,307.83 some 5.0 per cent above. The twice-tested support at $74,952.75 lies 9.9 per cent below that close.
Ethereum and XRP present a similar cast: Tuesday's closes of $2,497.95 and $1.37 respectively carry momentum readings below the mid-range, with XRP's own twice-tested resistance at $1.37 lying a fraction above — a proximity without resolution.
The sentiment barometer, at 52 out of 100, holds the mid-point with little conviction in either direction.
